The first edition of the THE LOOP Knitting Technology Summit brought together around 160 participants from 20 countries in Albstadt. Lonati S.p.A. took part in the event as a speaker, presenting its GE525H EVO, a machine designed to produce medical hosiery.
On October 7 and 8, 2026, Lonati S.p.A. participated in the first edition of the THE LOOP Knitting Technology Summit, a new international event dedicated to technological innovation, knowledge sharing and dialogue among professionals in the textile industry.
Organized by Groz-Beckert, the event brought together companies, universities and industry experts. The guiding principle, “Connected by precision. Driven by innovation,” highlighted the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in the development of new technological solutions.
Lonati Technology for Medical Applications
The first edition of the summit focused on medical textiles, a sector in which advances in materials and technologies are opening up new application opportunities.
As part of the programme, Lonati contributed as a speaker, presenting the GE525H EVO, a 288-needle, single-cylinder machine, equipped with the device for automatic toe closing, designed to produce medical and sports compression products.The presentation provided an opportunity to share Lonati’s expertise in the design and manufacture of circular knitting machines for hosiery with an international audience, with a particular focus on medical applications.
The presentation was part of a programme exploring technologies and future developments in the sector, covering topics such as textile robotics, artificial intelligence in product development, digital development processes and modern yarn feeding systems.
